“It feels good,” said Korda. “I actually really enjoyed today. There have been times on Sundays in contention where I really haven’t enjoyed it, where the stress kind of ate me and I didn’t stay in the moment and enjoy playing golf on Sunday in the final group, but today I really enjoyed it.”

As the top-ranked American in the Olympic Golf Ranking, Korda is virtually locked in to a spot in the upcoming Olympic Games and is looking to be joined by her older sister, Jessica Korda. The top-15 players in the Olympic Golf Rankings will be eligible for the Olympics with up to a maximum of four golfers per country. Currently for Team USA, the top-four Americans include Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang, Lexi Thompson and Jessica Korda.

“I did a good bit of work back home; my dad was at every practice, a little bootcamp with my dad,” laughed Korda of her father, Petr Korda, a former Czech tennis star. “He’s actually in Prague right now with my brother doing a little bootcamp before Wimbledon. He’s flying back and forth right now. I just worked on the right stuff and didn’t put too much pressure on myself this week.”

Nelly and Jessica Korda are hoping to join their younger brother, Sebastian, at the Olympic Games. Sebastian Korda is an American tennis player who currently ranks 50th in the world. To qualify for the Olympics, Sebastian Korda must remain inside the top-56 players in the world and inside the top-four Americans (he is currently fourth).
